Fun to be had while staying in the area

All bookings can be taken care of right here as Wendy, being local, is overflowing with knowledge of the area. She is able to give unbiased advice on the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks, and adds many “special” extra’s that are a “must see” in the area.

There are caves to be discovered, mountains to be summited and seas to be crossed. Motueka township has a variety of entertainment’s including a Golden Tiger cinema, arts and crafts, a museum, locally designed minigolf, wineries and cafés. Apple, pear and kwifruit farms with fresh produce for sale, hop fields and olive groves encompass the town.

Being only 20 minutes from the Abel Tasman National Park and 40minutes from Kahurangi National Park, it is the ideal spot to organise yourself.

The winter time may well be a little colder, with frosts in the morning, and the days a little shorter, dark at 5pm, but in the Abel Tasman National Park you have got a good chance of making the first footprints of the morning, there are much less sandflies to share your lunch, the days are calmer for tranquil kayaking, the sky is bluer for great photos and of course there is a gorgeously hot spa awaiting your return at the Laughing Kiwi!
